The player answers simple addition problems as part of the game. Two starships face each other—one controlled by the player, the other by the enemy. The enemy ship fires a projectile at the player's ship. If the player answers the math question correctly, their shield absorbs the impact. If not, they lose a life. Next, the player's ship fires at the enemy. A second math problem appears. If the player answers correctly, the enemy's shield is broken.
